王永，男，1984年生，湖北十堰人。2007年华中农业大学植物保护专业毕业，获学士学位；2012年华中农业大学农业昆虫与害虫防治专业毕业，获博士学位。研究生期间，参与2项国家自然科学基金和1项国家种质资源标准化整理项目。2012年9月至2013年7月，国家林业局森林病虫害防治总站，工程师；2013年8月至2014年10月，武汉市白蚁防治研究所，工程师；2014年11月至今，湖北工程学院生命科学技术学院，讲师。工作期间审核2项林业国家和行业标准，参与2项林业行业标准的制定，参与1部林业专著校样工作。2014年作为单位“三万”活动驻村干部，最终单位荣获武汉市2014年“三万”活动先进单位。
